Jack's Bay occupies a striking stretch of Eleuthera's southeastern coast near Rock Sound, where the island narrows and the Atlantic meets protected bays and inland waterways. TGR Design, the firm founded by Tiger Woods with lead designer Beau Welling, routed the course across varied Bahamian terrain that includes coastal bluffs, native scrubland, and shoreline holes directly on the ocean. The layout takes advantage of the property's natural elevation changes and limestone formations, features uncommon on many Caribbean courses. The routing moves between three distinct environments: holes along the Atlantic coastline, others set inland among the island's characteristic low vegetation and rock outcroppings, and several that play near tidal creeks and mangrove edges. The design emphasizes wide fairways and strategic bunkering that rewards thoughtful placement over pure distance, an approach consistent with Welling's work on other TGR projects. The course's exposure to prevailing winds adds a significant strategic element, particularly on the oceanfront holes where club selection and shot shaping become essential. Jack's Bay functions as the centerpiece of a private club and residential community on Eleuthera, an island known for its relative seclusion and pink sand beaches. The development represents one of the more ambitious golf projects in the Bahamas outside of Nassau and the Abacos, bringing championship-caliber design to an island previously without a course of this scale. The club offers direct ocean access and integrates the golf experience with the broader Bahamanian landscape and maritime setting.
