Highland Meadows Course
Sylvania, OH, USA

Highland Meadows carries the distinct legacy of hosting a major LPGA Tour event for decades, forging a connection with women's professional golf rarely seen outside of a major championship venue. The course, carved from the rolling farmland of Sylvania, Ohio, presents a distinctly Midwestern parkland challenge. Generous fairways belie the need for strategic positioning off the tee, as mature trees and subtly contoured greens demand careful approach play. A slight advantage exists for those who can work the ball right to left, navigating the doglegs that subtly shape the course. Designed by Arthur Hills, with later refinements, Highland Meadows prioritizes playability for all skill levels. The course's charm lies not in brute difficulty, but in its ability to present a fair test that rewards thoughtful course management. For many years, the course hosted the Marathon LPGA Classic presented by Dana (formerly the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic), consistently drawing top players and large crowds. While not considered among the nation's most architecturally groundbreaking layouts, Highland Meadows is prized locally. Its enduring popularity stems from a welcoming atmosphere and commitment to providing a quality golfing experience, underlined by an unwavering support of women's professional golf.

Former LPGA battleground, now your favorite test of golf. Highland Meadows delivers pure golf—no tricked-up holes, no circus greens, just classic design with sneaky elevation changes and greens quick enough to keep you honest. Practice like a pro, play like one (or try to), and enjoy service so good it’ll make you forget your three-putts. PS Fishing grade 1 star out of 5. Did catch a creek chub.
Highland Meadows is a great private club to play at. Everyone there is friendly and the course provides a great challenge. Additionally, they have great practice facilities. Two things I love about the course are that no two holes are the same and the pace of play is normally 4 hours or less even when walking.
