Heritage Club in Mason is one of those courses that feels like a solid, everyday play — nothing overly flashy, but always a good time. It’s a P.B. Dye design, and you can definitely see the family resemblance in the shaping of the greens and some of the bunkering. The layout isn’t overly demanding, which makes it a great course to play regularly without getting beat up. They’ve recently redone the range and practice area, and it really looks great now. There’s not a ton of variety in targets or yardages, but it’s a nice setup for warming up or working on your game before a round. The course itself is usually in solid shape — I’ve played it a few times when the greens were rolling fast and true, which made it a lot more fun and brought out some of the subtle slopes you might not notice otherwise. Overall, Heritage is one of those clubs that fits the “play every day” vibe perfectly. It’s enjoyable, well-maintained, and a good course to get consistent reps in without feeling repetitive.
