Moonlake Golf & Country Club

Moonlake Golf & Country Club sits northwest of Saskatoon in the rolling parkland terrain characteristic of central Saskatchewan. The facility features two eighteen-hole courses—Heather and Highlands—designed by Canadian architect Les Furber with Jim Eremko. Furber, based in British Columbia, has designed numerous courses across western Canada and is known for working with natural landforms to create strategic variety within the constraints of prairie and parkland settings. The Heather and Highlands courses share the property but offer distinct playing experiences shaped by the site's topography and vegetation. The region's natural aspen groves, native grasses, and occasional elevation changes provide definition and character to the routing. Water features, including ponds and wetlands, come into play on several holes across both layouts. The courses are designed to accommodate a range of skill levels while presenting enough length and challenge for competitive club events. Moonlake serves as a private club for the Saskatoon area, hosting member tournaments and social functions throughout the golf season. The facility includes practice areas and a clubhouse that supports the club's year-round activities. Saskatchewan's short but intense golf season—typically May through September—shapes the club's calendar, with members taking advantage of long summer daylight hours. The dual-course setup allows the club to manage play volume and maintain course conditions while offering variety for its membership.
