The routing takes advantage of the property's lakes and preserves, with water visible on approximately half the holes. The course measures over 6,800 yards from the back tees, though multiple tee boxes accommodate different skill levels. Several holes require carries over water or wetlands, while others play along corridors framed by mature pines and palms. Imperial Golf Club operates as a private equity club, and the East Course serves as one of two eighteen-hole layouts on the property, the other being the West Course. The club's facilities include a traditional clubhouse with dining areas that overlook the courses.
