STARR PASS GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Tucson, AZ, USA
Designed by Arnold Palmer, Bob Cupp, Ed Seay

Carved into the dramatic slopes of the Tucson Mountains, Coyote at Starr Pass offers a distinct desert golf experience forged from the landscape itself. The course, sculpted amidst saguaros and arroyos, presents a strategic test where embracing risk is more fruitful than demanding precision.
Designed by Arnold Palmer, Coyote favors the thinking player with a preference for the aerial game. Generous fairways are framed by native desert vegetation, but wayward shots are severely penalized, demanding calculated approach shots into receptive, subtly contoured greens. While perhaps not nationally recognized, the course is a local favorite offering dramatic vistas and memorable holes.
Coyote, along with its sister courses, offers the type of camaraderie you'd expect at a resort course that is often the site of corporate retreats and casual outings. Yet, the competitive spirit thrives among members, fueled by spirited matches and the perpetual challenge of mastering the desert nuances. And at the end of the round, many enjoy gathering at Catalina BBQ Co. & Racquet Club located adjacent to the golf club for the region’s best Kansas City style Barbeque.
