City Park Course
Denver, CO, USA

City Park Golf Course is Denver's enduring link to its past, a municipal gem that predates the city's sprawling growth. Carved into the gentle rolling landscape northeast of downtown, the course bears the unmistakable marks of its era. It's a classic parkland layout with mature trees lining the fairways and subtly contoured greens that reward thoughtful approaches and a deft touch on the putting surface. The 1913 Tom Bendelow design has been updated since. The course has hosted a number of local and regional events, providing a proving ground for up-and-coming players. While City Park might not command national attention, its true value lies in its accessibility and its central role in the Denver golfing community. For generations, it has served as an entry point to the game for countless players. City Park underwent a major renovation by iCon Golf Studio and Hale Irwin in 2020. The renovation included a major update to the golf course and building a stormwater detention area that can hold up to 87 million gallons of water. Beyond the course itself, City Park Golf Course is cherished for its unpretentious atmosphere and inclusive spirit. It's a place where golfers of all skill levels can come together to enjoy the game. The course is known for its strong junior program, cultivating the next generation of golfers and instilling a love for the sport in young people.

It’s a fun muni for being less than a mile from downtown.
It does the job. Nothing special though
The redesign is fantastic. Thought provoking for good players but not overly hard for bad players. A truly great mix. One of the best designs out there for what they had.
