Cannon Golf Club

Cannon Golf Club sits in the rolling farmland near Cannon Falls, Minnesota, a small town about 40 miles southeast of the Twin Cities in the Cannon River valley. Designed by Joel Goldstrand and opened in the mid-1990s, the course occupies terrain that transitions from relatively flat agricultural land to more pronounced elevation changes, a characteristic feature of this part of southeastern Minnesota where the landscape begins to show the influence of the bluff country that extends toward the Mississippi River valley. Goldstrand, a Minnesota-based architect who has designed numerous courses throughout the Upper Midwest, routed the layout to take advantage of the property's natural contours and wooded corridors. The course typically features a mix of open holes that play across former farmland and tighter, tree-lined passages where mature hardwoods frame fairways and greens.
