Canaan Valley Resort State Park sits at approximately 3,200 feet elevation in the Allegheny Mountains of eastern West Virginia, making it one of the highest-elevation golf courses in the eastern United States. The course was designed by Geoffrey Cornish, the prolific Massachusetts-based architect who shaped hundreds of layouts across North America during the mid-to-late twentieth century.
