Butler National, carved from the Illinois prairie in Oak Brook, is defined by a singular, unwavering purpose: to challenge the best golfers. George Fazio's original design was later refined by Tom Fazio, his nephew, ensuring the course maintained its demanding character while incorporating modern agronomic practices. From 1974 to 1990, Butler National served as the uncompromising host of the Western Open, where legends like Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson tested their mettle.
