Designed by George Cobb in the early days of Hilton Head’s golf boom, Brigantine and Galleon present a parkland style characterized by tree-lined fairways, strategic bunkering, and subtly contoured greens. The layout is straightforward and favors those who can work the ball right to left, providing an experience where accuracy trumps sheer distance, though a few heroic carries are required. While the club has not hosted major championships, its dedicated membership prizes camaraderie and a relaxed atmosphere.
