The Bluff nine takes its name from the elevated terrain along sections of the routing, where holes play across rolling topography with views over the water. Fazio shaped fairways and greens to emphasize natural contours while providing multiple angles of play for different skill levels. The Cove nine occupies lower ground closer to the shoreline, with several holes playing directly along the lake's edge. Water comes into play on approach shots and around greens, requiring precision on scoring opportunities. Both nines feature the manicured conditioning and framing typical of Fazio's resort work, with extensive bunkering and defined landing areas. Reynolds Lake Oconee operates as a private club with multiple amenities beyond golf, including marina access, dining facilities, and family recreation options.
