Glen Eagle Golf Club

Glen Eagle Golf Club's Blue course sits in the rolling countryside of Caledon, Ontario, roughly an hour northwest of Toronto in the Peel Region. Designed by René Muylaert and opened in the early 1990s, the course occupies terrain characteristic of the Oak Ridges Moraine area, featuring natural elevation changes, mature tree cover, and glacially sculpted landforms. Muylaert, a Belgian-born architect who worked extensively in Ontario during this period, routed the Blue course to take advantage of the property's wooded valleys and open meadow areas. The layout moves through varied topography, with several holes playing along ridgelines and others descending into lower corridors where seasonal creeks and wetland areas come into play. The design emphasizes strategic shot placement rather than overwhelming length, asking golfers to navigate doglegs and manage elevation changes that affect club selection and ball flight. Tree-lined fairways define most holes, and the greens feature moderate contouring suited to the region's climate and growing conditions. Glen Eagle operates as a semi-private facility, offering both membership and daily-fee access. The club includes multiple courses on the property, with the Blue serving as one of the primary championship layouts.
