Kingsdale Golf Complex

Berksdale is part of the Kingsdale Golf Complex in Bella Vista, a master-planned community in northwest Arkansas near the Missouri border. The course was designed through a collaboration of Ed Ault, Tom Clark, and Bill Love, architects known for their work on accessible daily-fee and resort layouts across the Midwest and South during the latter decades of the twentieth century. Bella Vista developed as a retirement and recreational community, and its golf facilities reflect that origins, offering multiple courses for residents and visitors. The routing works through the rolling Ozark terrain characteristic of this region, where elevation changes and wooded corridors shape the playing corridors. The design incorporates natural features common to northwest Arkansas golf—hardwood forests, rocky outcroppings, and modest but strategic water hazards. The layout balances challenge with playability, typical of courses built to serve a range of skill levels in a residential setting. Berksdale operates as one of several courses within the Kingsdale complex, which serves the broader Bella Vista community. The area has grown as a regional golf destination, drawing players from nearby Bentonville and the surrounding region.
