Bear Dance Course
Larkspur, CO, USA

Bear Dance isn't just a golf course carved from the rugged Colorado landscape; it's a testament to embracing, rather than taming, the wild beauty of the Front Range. This modern design, shaped by the hand of architect Perry Dye, unfolds across a dramatic canvas of rolling hills and native grasses. The course itself has a unique character. Wide fairways invite a confident swing, but quickly tighten around the greens, demanding a deft touch. The elevation changes are a constant companion here, creating blind shots and demanding players trust their yardages and instincts. The club is known for a particularly tight knit band of regulars, who enjoy making side bets and competing in club championships - many of which end with a steak dinner at the club house. Bear Dance stands as a demanding test for golfers of all skill levels, though it has yet to host any significant professional or amateur championships. The Golf Club at Bear Dance provides a challenging yet rewarding experience far removed from manicured precision.

Greens were very challenging. Lots of undulations for the speed. Very typical Nicklaus course but in a mountain setting. Really beautiful scenery but it was definitely pricey.
Great course south of Denver. Good variety of holes and very scorable.
