Bali National Golf Club occupies a coastal site in Nusa Dua, on the southern peninsula of Bali. The course was designed by Robin Nelson and Neil Haworth and opened in 2007 as part of an integrated resort development. The design works with the natural limestone terrain characteristic of the Bukit Peninsula, incorporating elevation changes and rocky outcroppings into the routing. Several holes play along or near the coastline, offering views of the Indian Ocean, while others move inland through more sheltered corridors. The layout measures over 7,000 yards from the championship tees and features wide fairways that accommodate the prevailing winds coming off the water. Nelson and Haworth shaped the course to present strategic options rather than penal hazards, with multiple routes available on many holes depending on skill level and conditions. The bunkering style reflects a modern tropical aesthetic, and water features appear on several holes, though the primary design interest comes from the topography and the relationship between elevated and low-lying sections of the property. Bali National serves both resort guests and local members, functioning as one of the primary championship-caliber facilities on the island. The course has hosted professional events on the Asian Development Tour and other regional circuits. The club operates within the broader tourism infrastructure of Nusa Dua, which developed as a planned resort zone beginning in the 1970s, and the golf course contributes to Bali's position as a golf destination in Southeast Asia.
