Golf Château de la Tournette

Golf Château de la Tournette sits in the Walloon Brabant region of Belgium, approximately thirty kilometers south of Brussels near the historic town of Nivelles. The property centers on an eighteenth-century château and its surrounding parkland, providing a mature landscape setting characteristic of Belgian golf venues that evolved from aristocratic estates. The course was designed by Bill Amick and Peter Alliss, the latter being the renowned English golfer and broadcaster who collaborated on numerous European layouts during the latter decades of the twentieth century. The Americain course represents one of two eighteen-hole layouts at the facility, the other being the Ecossais. The routing takes advantage of the estate's natural topography and established tree cover, moving through a mix of parkland corridors and more open terrain. Water features appear on several holes, typical of courses built or renovated during the period when Alliss was active in design work. The layout accommodates a range of playing abilities while maintaining strategic interest through its use of elevation change and mature vegetation.
