Union League National, my first “Jersey Shore” course, is an excellent Dana Fry/Jason Straka design on grounds of the former Sand Barrens. They kept the sand theme, with huge man-made dunescapes traversing interesting land. Circus greens were right speed & a blast! Great vibes!

Always in pristine condition, with a layout that holds up no matter how many times you play it. The back nine is particularly memorable - looking out across the marshes with the Atlantic City skyline in the distance - a unique contrast of natural beauty and neon energy.

Fair but challenging course. Faster greens than most public courses. Grass range, nice pro shop. Multiple fun and unique holes. On the pricier side but worth it. Not walkable due to holes being spread far apart.

Very demanding off the tee. I love most of everything about the course but if you miss the fairway by 5 yards you might need a new ball. Mostly unwalkable, but a great course

How we rank
This ranking uses each golfer’s layout rating, on a 0.5–5 scale. Layout is the layout score golfers give when they log a round. Every golfer counts once per course: repeat rounds are averaged first, then the course score is the average across golfers. A course needs layout ratings from at least 5 different golfers. Ties go to the course with more golfers, then the higher Course Vaults score. Only open courses with a published Course Vaults score (at least 5 explicit ratings) are eligible, and a page is published only when at least 5 courses qualify. City pages include courses within about 25 miles of Egg Harbor Township, so nearby suburbs can appear. Rankings refresh about hourly.
