Brian Curley is a golf course architect based in Scottsdale, Arizona, and a member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, where he serves on the Board of Governors. Born in 1959 and raised in Pebble Beach, California, Curley developed his design sensibility working and caddying at some of golf's most storied venues before establishing his own practice.
His portfolio spans diverse terrain across the American West and beyond, with notable projects including Southern Dunes in Maricopa, Arizona, and Oak Quarry in Riverside, California. Curley has designed courses in resort markets such as Bali Hai Golf Club in Las Vegas and The Palms in La Quinta, as well as daily-fee layouts like Canyon River in Missoula, Montana. His work extends to private clubs including Royal Oaks Country Club in Houston and international projects such as Vidbynรคs Golf Club in Sweden.
Curley's designs often emphasize playability across skill levels while respecting the natural landscape, reflecting the principles he absorbed growing up among California's celebrated coastal courses.
