Bernhard Langer

Bernhard Langer is best known as a two-time Masters champion (1985, 1993) and one of the world's leading golfers throughout the 1980s and 1990s. In 1986, he became the sport's first number one ranked player following the creation of the Sony Ranking. Over his career, Langer won 42 times on the European Tour and collected victories across six continents, including events on the PGA Tour, Japan Golf Tour, and Asian Tour.

After turning 50, Langer established himself as the most successful player in PGA Tour Champions history, with a record 12 senior major championships and the distinction of being the only player to complete the current career Senior Grand Slam. His course design portfolio reflects a global reach, with projects spanning Europe, Japan, and beyond. Notable designs include Île aux Cerfs in Mauritius, The Dunes at Costa Navarino in Greece, and multiple courses at Germany's Hartl Resort.

His design work extends across Germany—including Brunnwies at Golf Resort Bad Griesbach and Schloss Nippenburg—as well as courses in France (Golf de Soufflenheim, Béthemont) and Japan (layouts at Shinsatomi Country Club and Tateno Classic Golf Club).
