WOODLOCH SPRINGS GOLF COURSE
🇺🇸 Hawley, PA, USA
Designed by Rocky Roquemore

Woodloch Springs occupies rolling terrain in the Pocono Mountains region of northeastern Pennsylvania, approximately twenty miles from Scranton. The course was designed by Rocky Roquemore, a regional architect who worked primarily in the Mid-Atlantic states during the latter decades of the twentieth century. The property sits within a resort community that developed around the natural landscape of forested hills and seasonal streams characteristic of the Pocono plateau.
The routing makes use of the area's natural elevation changes, with holes moving through corridors of mature hardwoods and occasional openings that reveal the surrounding mountain topography. Water features appear on several holes, typical of courses built in this region where natural drainage patterns and constructed ponds serve both strategic and aesthetic purposes. The layout accommodates a range of skill levels, reflecting its role as a resort course serving both members and guests visiting the broader Woodloch property.
The course operates as part of a family-oriented resort complex that has served visitors to the Poconos for decades. The region's golf season runs from spring through fall, with the mountain climate providing relief from summer heat at lower elevations. Woodloch Springs functions primarily as a destination course for those staying at the resort or vacationing in the area, rather than as a tournament venue or championship test.
Reviews
Woodloch is a fun resort and has a cool facility. Conditions are usually pretty good. Layout is a bit of target mountain golf, can be a bit repetitive. Some of the risk reward shots are pretty cool tho. If in the area, definitely worth a try.
