WOLFDANCER GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Lost Pines, TX, USA
Designed by Arthur Hills, Steve Forrest

Wolfdancer, carved into the rolling landscape near the Lower Colorado River, embodies the spirit of Texas golf – expansive and engaging, a testament to Lone Star swagger. This Arthur Hills design, while not steeped in century-old traditions, unfolds across terrain more akin to a Hill Country ramble than a flatland stroll.
Hills leveraged the natural contours to create a course with generous fairways that reward bold play but punish waywardness with thick native grasses and strategically placed bunkers. The layout offers a compelling mix, from holes that favor a power fade to approaches that demand precise distance control. Expect to encounter blind shots and dramatic elevation changes that are relatively unique in this part of the state.
While Wolfdancer hasn't hosted major championships, it serves as a beloved test for amateur golfers and a regular stop for regional competitions. Its accessibility and challenging design have cultivated a dedicated following in Central Texas.
Reviews
I’d venture to say the course is overpriced, however, it does have some really good golf holes, and some great views. Unique and challenging course. A few quirky holes, however, it is always a good time.
