WESTCHESTER GOLF COURSE
🇺🇸 Canal Winchester, OH, USA
Designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan

Westchester Golf Course, carved into the rolling farmland of Canal Winchester, is a playable yet deceptive layout where subtle breaks on the green can undo even the most confident putter. This modern course, sculpted by Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry, favors a strategic approach, demanding calculated tee shots to navigate the numerous doglegs that wind through the Ohio landscape. It's a course where length is less crucial than placement; favoring faders and those able to navigate the subtle elevation changes.
While Westchester hasn’t hosted any major professional championships, its dedicated membership is the backbone of its local golf community. The club is particularly known for its active senior leagues and weekend tournaments. These events draw players from across central Ohio, fostering a competitive yet welcoming atmosphere.
The course's clubhouse is a hub of activity, often filled with members discussing their rounds over chili dogs. Westchester stands as a testament to the enduring appeal of well-designed public golf, proving that a course doesn't need a storied past to cultivate a loyal following.
Reviews
I think the front 9 of this golf course absolutely rocks. Additionally they have good food, cheap beer and a great pace of play. Really good course especially for the price
