Waialae at Waialae Country Club

Originally designed by Seth Raynor in 1927, Waialae bears his trademark geometric bunkering. In the modern era, renovations by Desmond Muirhead and Tom Doak have softened some of the original severity while preserving the course's fundamental character. The result is a harmonious blend of classic strategy and contemporary playability. The course’s proximity to the Pacific Ocean adds another dimension, with several holes directly bordering the coastline, providing stunning views and the occasional gust of sea breeze.

For over half a century, Waialae has been home to the Sony Open in Hawaii, one of the PGA Tour's early-season stops.
