VICTORY RANCH GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Kamas, UT, USA
Designed by Greg Muirhead, Rees Jones

Victory Ranch occupies a dramatic mountain setting in the Wasatch Range east of Park City, near the small town of Kamas. The course sits along the Upper Provo River at elevations above 6,500 feet, where the terrain combines meadowland with stands of aspen and pine. Rees Jones designed the layout with Greg Muirhead, routing eighteen holes through a property that offers substantial elevation changes and views across the surrounding peaks and valley.
The design takes advantage of the natural topography, with holes playing across ridges, into valleys, and along the river corridor. The routing incorporates the native grasses and rock outcroppings characteristic of the high country, and several holes feature significant drops from tee to fairway or green. The mountain environment creates playing conditions distinct from lower-elevation courses, with the thin air affecting ball flight and the cooler temperatures extending into the golf season.
Victory Ranch operates as part of a private residential and recreational community. The club emphasizes a western ranch aesthetic in its facilities and grounds, and the property includes extensive acreage beyond the golf course itself. The setting appeals to members seeking mountain recreation alongside golf, with the course serving as one component of a broader lifestyle offering in the Wasatch Back region. The layout provides a contrast to the desert and valley courses more common elsewhere in Utah, reflecting the particular character of its high-altitude, forested location.
Reviews
Being a member at Victory Ranch (no bias in my rating) has been an awesome experience and easily one of my favorite places to play. The course is always in great shape, with skinny fairways that make it an extremely challenging course if the big stick is not cooperating. It has very pure greens and incredible views everywhere you look with the Jordanelle and the Provo River surrounding the golf course. The layout is really fun with a good mix of challenging holes that make you think and a few that let you be aggressive if you’re swinging the sticks well. The scenery around the property is unreal, and the stretch of holes starting from 14 through 18 is incredible (my buddy hit a hole in one on hole 14 last time we played, a 152 yard par 3). Between the top-notch conditions, great amenities and halfway houses, and the overall vibe at the club, it’s a place I look forward to playing every time. (Also has incredible fly fishing on property which is a green light everytime for me)
