VALLEY COUNTRY CLUB
🇺🇸 Warwick, RI, USA
Designed by W. H. Follett

Valley Country Club, nestled in the rolling landscape of Warwick, Rhode Island, has offered a classic New England golfing experience for over half a century. Its parkland layout, characterized by tree-lined fairways and subtly contoured greens, emphasizes strategic play rather than sheer distance. The course favors shot-makers who can shape the ball and navigate the gentle doglegs that define much of the routing.
Designed by Geoffrey Cornish, Valley offers a blend of challenging par-4s and reachable par-5s, rewarding thoughtful course management and accurate iron play. While not nationally recognized, it has long held a special place in the hearts of Rhode Island golfers, fostering a strong sense of community among its members. The club is known for attracting families and locals, emphasizing casual golf in a relaxed atmosphere.
Adding to the course's rich flavor is its robust Men's and Women's Golf Associations. In fact, the Women’s Golf Association is noted as being the largest in the state, dating back to its establishment in 1962. Moreover, its well regarded Junior Program provides a solid base for the local golfing community. It's a place where generations have learned the game and forged lasting bonds, a staple of the local community and golfing landscape.
Reviews
Layout is very fun and challenging. No two holes are the same and the Par 3s are very challenging, in my opinion best in the state. Course conditions have greatly improved and continue to get better every week!
