Valley at Coyote Creek Golf Club

Coyote Creek Golf Club's Valley Course is a Jack Nicklaus design that opened in the mid-1990s in Morgan Hill, situated in the southern reaches of the Santa Clara Valley. The course occupies rolling terrain in the foothills east of Highway 101, where the landscape transitions from valley floor to the Diablo Range. Nicklaus routed the layout to take advantage of natural elevation changes and incorporated water features throughout, with several holes playing along or across creeks and ponds that figure prominently in strategy and shot values.

The design reflects Nicklaus's emphasis on risk-reward options and multiple tee positions to accommodate different skill levels. The Valley Course features wide fairways that encourage aggressive play off the tee, but approach shots demand precision to greens protected by water, bunkers, and contours. Several holes move through corridors of mature trees, while others open to views of the surrounding hills. The routing returns to the clubhouse at the turn, a characteristic of many daily-fee facilities designed for operational flexibility.

The club also features a second eighteen, the Tournament Course, which shares the property and offers a contrasting design experience.
