UNICORN GOLF COURSE
πΊπΈ Stoneham, MA, USA
Designed by John Van Kleek, Wayne Stiles

Carved from the rugged, rolling hills of Stoneham, Unicorn Golf Course is a testament to enduring local passion rather than national acclaim. The course, exhibiting a late-20th-century American design, plays longer than its yardage suggests, rewarding strategically placed tee shots and accurate iron play into subtly contoured greens. A prevailing wind adds another layer of challenge, turning seemingly benign holes into tests of fortitude.
While never having hosted a major championship, Unicorn's tightly knit membership contributes to a vibrant and sociable atmosphere. Many members live close by, sharing anecdotes of their rounds over lunch after a game, with each group having their usual place to sit and rehash the round's key shots.
Unicorn Golf Course is not trying to be the next great major destination. Instead, it embraces its role as a cherished, down-to-earth golfing community.
Reviews
Good layout, not amazing conditions
First course I ever played, very good quick 9 on the weekdays, some of the holes are on top of each other but it is a great place to learn how to play.
