TWIN RIVERS GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Oviedo, FL, USA
Designed by Joe Lee

Twin Rivers Golf Club sits in Oviedo, a suburban community northeast of Orlando in Seminan County, Florida. Designed by Joe Lee and opened in the 1970s, the course reflects the architect's extensive Florida portfolio during an era when residential golf development expanded rapidly across the state. Lee, who worked on dozens of courses throughout Florida, typically routed layouts that worked with the region's flat terrain and integrated water features as both strategic and drainage elements.
The course occupies land characteristic of central Florida's interior: relatively level with stands of pine and oak, wetland areas, and the lakes and canals that give the club its name. Lee's design philosophy emphasized playability for a range of skill levels while using water hazards and bunkers to define playing corridors and green complexes. Twin Rivers operates as a semi-private facility, serving both members and daily-fee players in the Oviedo area.
The layout follows conventions common to Florida golf of its period, with water coming into play on multiple holes and greens that require accurate approach shots. The course serves the local golfing community in a region where numerous courses compete for play, and it has undergone periodic updates to maintain conditioning and playability. Twin Rivers remains a straightforward example of Joe Lee's work during Florida's golf boom, offering a familiar style of play for those accustomed to the state's inland courses.
Reviews
UCF’s home course - great rate for students and it’s in good enough shape for the price. Actually a good layout but I feel like UCF could pump some money into it to help the conditions.
