Twin Rivers at Terra Nova Resort & Golf Community

Twin Rivers occupies a distinctive landscape in central Newfoundland, roughly midway between St. John's and Gros Morne National Park. The course sits within Terra Nova Resort & Golf Community near Port Blandford, where the terrain reflects the province's characteristic boreal forest and exposed bedrock. C. E. "Robbie" Robinson completed the original design, which Doug Carrick later renovated and expanded, bringing contemporary strategic elements to the routing while respecting the natural topography.

The layout moves through varied elevation changes and incorporates the region's glacially-shaped landforms, with fairways carved through dense stands of spruce and fir. Water features appear throughout the routing, reflecting the course's name and the abundance of streams and wetlands in this part of Newfoundland. The exposed rock outcroppings and thin soils typical of the Canadian Shield create both visual drama and practical design constraints that shape hole corridors and green complexes.

Twin Rivers serves as the golf centerpiece of Terra Nova Resort, which caters to both destination visitors exploring Newfoundland's natural attractions and regional players. The facility operates within the short Maritime golf season, typically from late spring through early autumn. The course provides one of the few full-length championship layouts in this sparsely populated region, offering golfers a chance to experience the game in an environment defined by Newfoundland's rugged coastal character and boreal ecology.
