Twin Dolphin Course
Baja California Sur, USA

Twin Dolphin, carved into the arid foothills overlooking the Sea of Cortez, is where Tom Fazio translated the Baja desert into a strategic, visually arresting golf experience. The course, which opened in 2008, eschews the typical desert target golf aesthetic, favoring instead generous fairways framed by rugged arroyos and strategically placed bunkers. The layout tests shot-making prowess with subtly contoured greens and shifting winds, demanding creative approaches rather than brute force. It's not known for hosting major championships, but its challenging yet fair design has made it a favorite among discerning golfers seeking a unique experience. The course's beauty is inextricably linked to its setting. Towering cardón cacti and dramatic rock formations provide a stunning backdrop to each hole. The ocean is visible from nearly every point on the course, offering a constant reminder of the region's natural splendor. Twin Dolphin is not just a golf course, but a curated experience. While the golf is superb, the social fabric is as integral to the Twin Dolphin experience. Home to a membership that draws heavily from the world of business and entertainment, the club fosters a relaxed, convivial atmosphere. Stories abound of impromptu putting contests erupting after sunset, fueled by camaraderie and competitive spirit. The ocean-side clubhouse and cantina serve as the social hub, where sunset cocktails are savored and friendships are deepened.
Played Cabo Collegiate here. Course is in pristine shape and is a lot of fun to play in a non-tournament setting. Really tough tee to green as it's super easy to hit it in the desert and every green has some sort of severe run-off. Sick halfway houses and cool looking clubhouse as well
