Tura Beach at Tura Beach Country Club

Tura Beach Country Club sits along the Sapphire Coast of New South Wales, approximately six kilometers north of Merimbula. Designed by Michael Wolveridge and opened in the early 1970s, the course occupies gently rolling coastal terrain between the Pacific Ocean and the Princes Highway. The layout takes advantage of natural elevation changes and coastal vegetation, with several holes offering views across the surrounding landscape toward the Tasman Sea.

The course plays as a traditional parkland design with tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers. Wolveridge routed the eighteen holes across varied topography, incorporating natural contours into the playing corridors and green complexes. The coastal location brings wind into play, particularly on the more exposed holes, adding a strategic element to club selection and shot placement. Native grasses and coastal scrub define many hole boundaries, while stands of eucalyptus and banksias provide both aesthetic character and tactical challenge.
