TPC Las Vegas, carved into the rugged desert landscape northwest of the Strip, presents a stern test that has humbled even the best professionals. This modern design navigates the washes and arroyos, demanding strategic shot-making and a deft touch around the greens. The course favors those who can control their ball flight in the swirling desert winds, with strategically placed bunkers penalizing wayward shots.
Originally designed by Bobby Weed with consultation from Raymond Floyd, TPC Las Vegas has hosted PGA Tour events, most notably the Las Vegas Invitational (now the Shriners Children's Open). While not consistently ranked among the nation's elite, TPC Las Vegas enjoys a strong regional reputation as a challenging and visually striking golf experience.
The course's layout offers a variety of challenges, from demanding par-4s that require precise tee shots to reachable par-5s that tempt aggressive play. Water hazards come into play on several holes, adding to the strategic complexity. After your round, the clubhouse provides a comfortable setting to relive the day's triumphs and near misses.
Reviews
Played a couple rounds for a work event. Great course in incredible shape. Number of tough holes for a newbie like me!
Hard to rate a course like this as under a B. It won’t win any rewards with architectural snobs but it’s a top end Vegas Desert course. While some may rate it lower, most who play here will be thrilled with it as it. The better and more challenging of the two TPC courses in Vegas there is a fair amount of trouble. Definitely recommend if looking to play in Vegas
