Tokatee at Tokatee Golf Club

Tokatee Golf Club sits in the McKenzie River Valley near Blue River, Oregon, approximately 50 miles east of Eugene in the Cascade foothills. Designed by Ted Robinson Sr. and opened in 1966, the course occupies forested terrain characteristic of the western Cascades, with Douglas fir and cedar framing fairways carved through dense woodland. Robinson, a California-based architect known for his work throughout the western United States, created a layout that emphasizes accuracy over distance, with tree-lined fairways that demand precise shotmaking. The course measures just over 6,800 yards from the back tees but plays longer due to the elevation shifts and the need to navigate around mature timber. Several holes run along or cross tributaries of the McKenzie, introducing water hazards that complement the forested character.
