TIGER POINT GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Gulf Breeze, FL, USA
Designed by Bill Amick

Tiger West at Tiger Point Golf Club occupies a scenic stretch of Florida's Panhandle near Gulf Breeze, positioned along the northern shore of Santa Rosa Sound. Designed by Bill Amick and opened in the 1970s, the course takes advantage of the area's natural coastal topography, incorporating wetlands, pine forests, and water features that define much of northwest Florida golf. Amick, a regional architect active across the Southeast during that era, routed the layout to balance playability with the environmental constraints of the site.
The course features a mix of tree-lined fairways and holes that border marshland and lagoons, requiring strategic placement off the tee and careful approach work into greens protected by water and bunkers. Elevation changes are modest, typical of the coastal plain, but the routing uses natural contours and native vegetation to create visual interest and strategic variety. Several holes play along or across wetland areas, adding both scenic value and tactical challenge.
Tiger Point Golf Club operates as a semi-private facility, welcoming both members and daily-fee play. The club includes a second eighteen, Tiger East, also designed by Amick, giving golfers access to thirty-six holes in a setting that emphasizes the natural beauty of the Gulf Coast region. The courses serve both local players and visitors exploring the Pensacola area's golf offerings.
