TIGER POINT GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Gulf Breeze, FL, USA
Designed by Bill Amick

Tiger Point Golf Club's East Course sits on the eastern shore of Santa Rosa Sound in Gulf Breeze, a peninsula community between Pensacola and the Gulf of Mexico beaches. Bill Amick designed the course in the mid-1960s as part of a residential development that takes advantage of the natural waterfront setting and coastal topography characteristic of Florida's Panhandle region.
The routing works through stands of mature pines and live oaks draped with Spanish moss, with several holes playing along or near the sound. Water comes into play on multiple holes, both from natural wetlands and constructed ponds that define landing areas and green complexes. The layout features relatively modest elevation changes by Florida standards, with some gentle rolls that provide visual interest and strategic variety. The course measures around 6,500 yards from the back tees, offering a playable test for members and daily-fee golfers alike.
Tiger Point operates as a semi-private facility, with the East Course complemented by a companion West Course also on the property. The club serves both local residents and visitors to the Pensacola area, functioning as a neighborhood amenity and public-access venue. The setting provides views of the sound and surrounding coastal landscape, particularly on holes that run near the water. The course reflects the straightforward, tree-lined parkland style common to many Florida designs from its era, emphasizing accuracy and course management over raw distance.
