The Territory, carved into the rolling plains of Prospectors Ridge, Oklahoma, is a reminder that challenging, engaging golf can emerge from the most unassuming landscapes. The course embodies a modern approach, using the natural undulations of the prairie to dictate its character.
The layout demands strategic thinking off the tee and the ability to manage approach shots into deceptively contoured greens. While it's not known for hosting major championships, The Territory enjoys a loyal following among local golfers who appreciate its playability and the way it blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment.
While it may not garner national headlines, The Territory fosters a strong sense of community amongst its members. The clubhouse is known throughout the region for its hearty, home-style meals and the lively post-round banter that extends long into the Oklahoma evenings.
Reviews
We did the stay and play with the villas onsite and I felt it was a solid value. Course is in great shape, lots of native grass, that ate up some balls. Pretty sprawling layout, not a lot of fairways next to one another. Need to be accurate instead of just long. The greens were pretty quick even with rain and overcast conditions. Helpful staff. Played Thursday and Friday and had the course to ourselves. Really enjoyed the course.
Terrible weather when I played, and course was dormant. Need to make another trek to properly reevaluate
