CABOT CITRUS FARMS
🇺🇸 Brooksville, FL, USA
Designed by Tom Fazio
The Squeeze, carved into the heart of Central Florida's citrus belt, presents a raw, unadulterated golfing experience. This modern design plays across sandy soil where once massive citrus groves grew, creating a distinctly Floridian feel punctuated by native scrub and panoramic views.
While it lacks the storied history of older courses, The Squeeze, routed in a clockwise direction, favors strategic play over brute strength. Broad fairways encourage aggressive drives, but well-placed bunkers and undulating greens punish errant approaches. Many approach shots and putts break away from the surrounding orange groves. It demands a steady hand and creative shot-making on and around the greens.
Cabot Citrus Farms provides a welcoming atmosphere, attracting a membership drawn to the pureness of the golfing experience. The clubhouse, while understated, serves as a hub for post-round camaraderie where the chatter about navigating the courses nuances or a recent match lingers well into the evening. The club is also known for its post round smoked fish dip, a local favorite and staple.
