THE KNOLL WEST GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Parsippany, NJ, USA
Designed by Charles Banks

The Knoll West, a stalwart of northern New Jersey golf near Boonton, is a challenging testament to Golden Age design, even if it's lore resides more with it's membership. Carved into rolling, wooded terrain punctuated by dramatic elevation changes, the West presents a demanding, if not thrilling, test for golfers of all skill levels. Its narrow fairways reward accuracy off the tee, and its strategically placed bunkers penalize wayward shots. A few of the longer holes favor those who can move the ball right to left, but strategy here is more important than brute strength.
Originally designed by Charles Banks, the West Course retains much of its early-20th-century character, with small, undulating greens that require a deft touch. While not regularly in the conversation of top courses nationally, The Knoll West has played host to numerous state and regional amateur events, solidifying its standing as a respected competitive venue and the pride of the clubs two courses.
The membership at The Knoll West is known for its deep roots in the local community, a tight-knit group who appreciate both the course's challenge and its convivial atmosphere. There is a distinct family feel at the club, reflecting the generational aspect of it's longstanding membership.
