The Home Course

Born from a commitment to public golf, The Home Course in DuPont, Washington, provides a challenging yet accessible championship experience that honors the spirit of the game. This modern links-style layout sprawls across the undulating terrain south of Puget Sound, where expansive fescue grasses define the fairways and greens. Generous landing areas invite aggressive play, but strategic bunkering and subtle elevation changes reward thoughtful shot-making. Designed by Mike Asmundson and co-designed by PGA Tour professional Peter Jacobsen, The Home Course intentionally evokes the classic links courses of Scotland and Ireland. The ever-present coastal winds create a dynamic playing environment, influencing club selection and demanding adaptability. Opened in 2007, it swiftly garnered recognition as a worthy test, jointly hosting the 2010 U.S. Amateur Championship alongside Chambers Bay, marking the first time the event was held on two courses simultaneously. While not among the pantheon of nationally lauded courses, The Home Course holds a unique place in the Pacific Northwest golfing landscape.
