Rotonda Golf & Country Club

The Hills at Rotonda Golf & Country Club is one of five courses within the Rotonda West community on Florida's Gulf Coast, situated between Sarasota and Fort Myers. Designed by Jim Petrides and opened in the 1970s during the development of this planned residential community, the course takes its name from the elevated terrain features that distinguish it from the flatter topography typical of southwest Florida golf. The routing incorporates modest elevation changes and mounding that create visual interest and strategic variety across the layout. The course plays through a mature residential setting with established vegetation, water hazards, and bunkers that frame the fairways and greens. Petrides designed the layout to accommodate a range of skill levels while presenting enough challenge to keep regular play engaging. The conditioning and playability reflect its role as a semi-private amenity course serving both club members and resort guests within the broader Rotonda community. Rotonda West was developed as a comprehensive golf community with its five courses arranged in a distinctive circular pattern visible from aerial views.
