THE HARVESTER GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Rhodes, IA, USA
Designed by Keith Foster

Carved into the rolling Iowa farmland near Rhodes, The Harvester Golf Club presents a unique, modern challenge amidst the state's traditional golfing landscape. Designed by Keith Foster and opened in 2000, the course embraces the natural undulations and contours of the prairie, demanding strategic play and offering glimpses of the expansive landscape.
The Harvester favors the bold; wide fairways encourage aggressive drives, but well-placed hazards penalize wayward shots. Its length challenges even the longest hitters, demanding thoughtful club selection and precise execution, while its undulating greens ensure no putt is ever straightforward.
The club fosters a camaraderie among its members, who appreciate the course's demanding layout and serene environment. Although it has not hosted major professional championships, The Harvester remains a sought-after destination for serious golfers looking for a challenging and rewarding experience in the heartland of America.
Reviews
What an incredible place. Some insight below into each area. Golf Course The golf course is so good. The conditions are unbelievable. The fairways and tee boxes are in pristine shape. The greens not only are so fast but they roll true. The pin positions can be a little dicey and you need to make sure to miss on the proper side of the green. Bunkers were in awesome shape. The course has multiple uphill holes and some downhill holes. Par 3’s were all downhill shots which made them all super fun. There were multiple tee boxes that were literally on the green. The greens extended into a tee box area. It was wild hitting tee shots off the actual putting green. There is so much variety and interesting holes. Each hole has its own name and each hole has its own story. I’m not sure I have ever played a better golf course with the variety and playability of each shot. Overall I can’t say enough about the course. Greens, bunkers, fairways, tees all in perfect condition. Service The service you receive from the moment you step out of your car is top notch. They have caddies standing out front waiting to help out. Our 2 fore caddies did a really great job as we played 36 holes in 1 day. Our 2 stayed with us for all 36 holes. They were running it seemed like 1/2 of the time to get ahead and make sure to spot balls. Every person we ran into on the staff made us feel very important. The food was also amazing. We ate lunch and dinner there and I couldn’t have been more impressed. Other Information The Harvester is a Golf Club only. There is no pool, no tennis, no pickle ball. Only golf. Which for me is just the best. The practice facility is to die for. Large putting green, chipping / practice area with multiple bunkers. A small putting green right outside the clubhouse. And also an 18 hole putting course near the onsite cottages. If you ever get the chance to play out here do whatever you can to make it work. Extremely impressive place and excited to get back out again some day!
Just an incredible day. Ty to Mr Jensen for hosting a couple of yahoos from Texas!!
Never had set foot on Augusta National, the turf at this course is incredible. Greens running 14-15 and a layout with several different styles makes this a must stop if you get the chance.
