The Forest-The River is one of two championship courses at Tat Golf International in Belek, a purpose-built golf resort region along Turkey's Mediterranean coast. Designed by European Golf Design, the architectural arm of the European Tour, the course opened in the late 1990s as part of Belek's development into a golf destination. The layout takes its name from its defining characteristics: dense pine forest corridors and the presence of water features that shape play throughout the round. The routing moves through mature Mediterranean pine forest, with tree-lined fairways demanding accuracy from the tee. Water comes into play on multiple holes, including several that run alongside or cross streams and ponds, requiring strategic club selection and course management. The terrain is relatively flat, typical of the Belek region, but the design uses elevation changes, bunkering, and the natural forest to create visual interest and strategic variety. The course has hosted professional events on the European Challenge Tour and Turkish national championships. Tat Golf International operates as a resort facility serving both members and visiting golfers, with the Forest-The River course complemented by a second layout, The Pines. The club offers practice facilities and clubhouse amenities standard to the Belek golf corridor, which has developed into one of Europe's more accessible warm-weather golf destinations. The course plays to different tee lengths to accommodate various skill levels, with the championship tees presenting a test suitable for competitive play.
