THE CONCESSION GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Bradenton, FL, USA
Designed by Jack Nicklaus, Jacklin Design Group

The Concession Golf Club, forever bound to the unforgettable Ryder Cup moment that birthed its name, presents a stern test crafted from the spirit of sportsmanship. Carved into the mature, rolling woodlands east of Bradenton, the course, a collaboration between Jack Nicklaus and Tony Jacklin, favors thoughtful strategy over brute force. Its wide fairways belie the challenge that awaits; errant approaches are swallowed by unforgiving bunkers and subtly contoured greens demanding precise reads.
While not steeped in decades of championship history, The Concession earned its stripes hosting the 2021 World Golf Championships-Workday Championship, showcasing its ability to challenge the game’s elite. The demanding layout, with its undulating terrain and strategically placed hazards, keeps players on high alert.
Beyond the championship pedigree, The Concession offers a sense of quiet exclusivity and collegial spirit. Members often recount the tale of Nicklaus and Jacklin's shared vision on the 18th at Royal Birkdale, a testament to the enduring power of respect and camaraderie at the heart of the game.
Reviews
Extremely well kept, very challenging, somewhat unreasonable ask around the greens with many chips being very hard to simply put on the green. Overall, it’s one of those great courses that’s super fun to see, but doesn’t reel you back in like some others
Amazing Club. Perfect Conditions. HARD GOLF COURSE.
