TWIN EAGLES GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB
🇺🇸 Naples, FL, USA
Designed by Jack Nicklaus, Jack Nicklaus II

The Talon course at Twin Eagles Golf and Country Club opened in 2000 as one of two Jack Nicklaus designs at this Naples community, with Jack Nicklaus II contributing to the design work. The course occupies a site in the interior reaches of Collier County, where the landscape transitions from coastal plain to the edge of the Big Cypress ecosystem. The routing takes advantage of natural elevation changes uncommon in Southwest Florida golf, with fairways moving through stands of native pine and cypress and around wetland preserves that define strategic corridors and frame approach shots.
Nicklaus shaped the course with substantial contouring in the landing areas and around the greens, creating a more dramatic playing experience than the region's flatter layouts typically provide. Water features appear on multiple holes, integrated with the site's natural hydrology, and the bunkering follows the bold, sculptured style characteristic of Nicklaus designs from this period. The green complexes vary in size and contour, rewarding precise iron play and requiring careful attention to pin positions.
Twin Eagles operates as a private equity club serving a residential community. The Talon course complements its companion layout, the Eagle course, also designed by Nicklaus, giving members access to thirty-six holes within the property. The club's facilities and dining programs reflect the standards typical of upscale Naples golf communities, where the emphasis remains on member play and seasonal resident activity rather than tournament competition.
