SUNSET HILLS COUNTRY CLUB
🇺🇸 Carrollton, GA, USA
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr.

Sunset Hills at Sunset Hills Country Club stands as a testament to enduring community spirit, a place where generations of Carrollton families have learned the game. This classic, mid-century design offers a straightforward parkland experience, rewarding solid ball-striking rather than strategic gambles. Its gently rolling terrain and mature trees create a pleasant, if not overly demanding, round.
Originally conceived in the late 1960s, Sunset Hills provides a comfortable test for players of all abilities. While the course has seen subtle tweaks over the years, its core character remains largely unchanged. A few strategically placed bunkers penalize errant drives, and the small, subtly sloped greens require a deft touch with the putter.
Beyond the golf, Sunset Hills cultivates a notably convivial atmosphere. The club’s social calendar is as active as its tee sheet, with regular events centered around the clubhouse's impressive barbeque, a local favorite rivaling even the best Georgia pit stops. It's a community hub as much as a golf destination, a characteristic cherished by its loyal membership.
