STRAWBERRY FARMS GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Irvine, CA, USA
Designed by Jim Lipe
Strawberry Farms, carved into the rolling hills of Irvine, is a course defined by its namesake heritage: the land was once blanketed in verdant strawberry fields. The par-71 course unfolds as a classic, modern American design, built to challenge players of all abilities. The course favors neither the bomber nor the strategist, but consistently tests every aspect of one's game.
Architect Doug Beach’s design features dramatic elevation changes and numerous water hazards, demanding precise shot-making and strategic course management. While not a championship venue, the course is known locally for its challenging layout and meticulously maintained greens.
The club's relaxed atmosphere and focus on community create a welcoming environment. Players often enjoy the course's signature strawberry shortcake, a nod to its unique past. As the sun sets over the Saddleback Mountains in the distance, the legacy of the strawberry fields lives on.
Reviews
Greens were sadly inconsistent - probably too much weather. Tons of pitch marks, imperfections and who knows what. Location is incredible and should be better. Kinda of a let down even though I hadn’t heard good things.
