Several holes play directly along the lake, requiring carries over water or approach shots to greens positioned near the shoreline. The routing also features internal lakes and creeks that come into play on multiple holes, creating strategic decisions off the tee and into greens. Native grasses and naturalized areas frame many holes, giving the course a less manicured appearance than some resort-style layouts in the region.
