STALLION MOUNTAIN GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Las Vegas, NV, USA
Designed by Jim Colbert

Stallion Mountain Golf Club sits in the southeastern Las Vegas Valley, designed by PGA Tour veteran Jim Colbert and opened in 1995. The course occupies rolling desert terrain with elevation changes that provide views across the valley toward the surrounding mountain ranges. Colbert, who transitioned to course design after his playing career, created a layout that incorporates the natural desert landscape while offering a parkland-style playing experience more common to Las Vegas daily-fee and public facilities of that era.
The routing works through arroyos and across hillsides, with fairways framed by desert vegetation and strategic bunkering. Elevation shifts create variety in shot requirements, and several holes play uphill or downhill with the changing topography. Water features appear on select holes, adding tactical considerations to club selection and approach strategy. The course serves both local residents and visitors seeking golf options away from the Strip corridor.
Stallion Mountain operates as a semi-private facility, offering public tee times alongside member play. The property reflects the growth period of Las Vegas golf in the mid-1990s, when the city expanded its golf inventory to meet increasing demand from both the tourism industry and the rapidly growing residential population in the valley's newer neighborhoods.
Reviews
Used to be a 48 hole private facility but went public and they sold a lot of the land and combined to make one golf course. It’s ok pretty flat conditions aren’t bad lot of the greens are crowned. It’s an ok option in Vegas
