TPC AT PRESTANCIA
🇺🇸 Sarasota, FL, USA
Designed by Mike Souchak, Ron Garl

The Stadium Course at TPC at Prestancia was designed by Ron Garl in collaboration with Mike Souchak, a former PGA Tour professional who won fifteen tour events during his playing career in the 1950s and 1960s. The course opened in 1987 as part of a residential community in Sarasota, bringing tournament-caliber golf to Florida's Gulf Coast. The design reflects the TPC network's original mission of creating challenging courses capable of hosting professional events while remaining accessible to members and daily-fee players.
The routing works through gently rolling terrain unusual for Florida, with elevation changes that provide strategic interest and varied shot values. Water features come into play on multiple holes, typical of Southwest Florida golf, and the layout incorporates native vegetation and preserve areas that frame playing corridors. The course measures over 7,000 yards from the championship tees, with multiple teeing grounds that allow for different skill levels to find appropriate challenge.
TPC at Prestancia operates as a semi-private facility, offering both membership and public access. The club provides practice facilities and amenities consistent with the TPC brand, though it has not hosted PGA Tour events like some of its sister properties. The course serves as a year-round option for both residents of the Prestancia community and visiting golfers exploring the Sarasota area's golf offerings.
